On a long run of coax it may have less loss than
RG-8 coax, including the matching of the 75
to the 50. Dipoles are close to 75 Ohm Z, so
the only needed matching is at the transmitter
end. NOTE: Your SWR and Watt meters are
designed for 50 OHM, so expect an error in
their readings. That coax can be used to make
a clone of the famous Station Master, and a
few other phased verticals. I have some TV
coax here, and if nothing else it makes very good
buried radials etc.
