Here's my current situation.
A friend of mine who has a Alpha Delta antenna on the roof of his apartment
building had it taken down due to the roofers working on the roof. Now that
the antenna must be put back up. I was wondering is there any other better
antenna than the Alpha Delta that will handle 10 to 80 m bands and is no
longer than 80 feet long? Or should I just leave it? Of course this will not
take place until next weekend. So I thought in the meantime to put this
question on the reflector.
The other question is. If there is no other antenna better to replace the
Alpha Delta. What should I be looking for in terms of damage on this current
antenna. The antenna has been on the roof for about 10 years and this is the
first time it has been examined since it was put up. I can say for sure that
before the roofers took the antenna down it was in good working order.
I personally will be one of the people helping putting the antenna back up.
I will also have antenna analyzer with me.
Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.
