His situation is so indefinate that I wouldn't touch a wild guess.
Also, the width of the half-power points are often so wide as
to make the pattern a big blob. For vertical antennas, there is a
critical deflection angle between a horizontal line from the center
of the antenna and a line out to the end of the radials. Ergo, long
radials work better than short ones. Unless the radial wires are
kept away from ground, and their velocity is known, their function
as part of a wave length does not mean much. Let him try what
he has, then let us all know what happened.
