If the 350 foot flat top is broadside to your primary coverage interest, I'd 
leave the traps out. You'll get around 3 dB gain in those favored 
directions, with the traps you'd get no gain but you'd have a broader lobe 
which would cover a greater azimuth coverage from 90 degrees to the wire 
(broadside).
I'd say loose the traps - they're just one more thing to go defective on 
you.

Yes. Do the math. You're going to be seeing somewhere between 5:1
and 8:1 mismatch. Duck soup for open line.
