[Antennas] Thin wire appear thicker.

Hi all,
I have quite a bit of relatively thin copper wire recovered from some
old transformers that i would like to use to construct an antenna.
I would like to construct a moxon, and was thinking with this grade of
wire (perhaps about 0.1mm diameter, maybe a bit over) the usable
bandwidth of the antenna will be quite narrow.
I'm thinking of making a few loops with this wire to make it appear
thicker than it is, and was wondering if this would be effective (ie
using the skin-effect)?
I'm thinking of either putting together a moxon or a cubical-quad, i
just need to "thicken up" some of this copper wire i have.
Would appreciate thoughts/advice from the group.
Cheers & 73s,
Chris VK2FNET.
