[Antennas] In L lengths, again

I understand from previous posts, that in building an inverted L, one "ideal
length" would be something like (In my case, going up 55 feet) then about
85 feet horizontal. Quarter wave, got it.
I CAN go much longer on the horizontal, up to couple hundred feet, maybe
more. Seems like the more wire the better??? If I extended the horizontal
section, how much should I exend it. Gonna feed it with coax and run through a
tuner the shack. Should I extend it 130 feet MORE than the 85 feet already
up there, to make it a full 1/2 w long? And, if I cant quite get that...
should I stick with the 85 feet, or just put up as much as I can?
Bob
