Thanks for all the responses; the consensus is keep the coax as short as
possible. I forgot to mention the 20 feet from the inside of the bulkhead
connector to the turner.(OOPS).
I wish I could string the antenna closer to the shack, but as it is I have a
sloping inverted Vee G5RV, so you do what you gotta do.
The forecast is another 2 feet of snow for the weekend, but the team will be
9 days in transit to Kerguelen, (which I need) so I should be back on for
that one.

P.S. Rigs here are 1970's TenTec Tritons, both analog and digital, barefoot
