Hi all,

I have successfully used over the many years a black insulated, ladder line
(cut outs are squares). Make sure that you get a multi strand version, the
single strand wire tends to fall apart after several years if exposed to wind
and/or vibration.

I believe that HRO still sells that particular ladder line.

I also used the Saxton, non-isolated wire line, with the plastic spreaders
about 20 years ago. It worked well if the was no rain or snow, I had sometimes
arcing at the voltage points when the wire was iced up in winters like this
one, In addition, the spreader's plastic does not withstand UV over the
years, becomes fragile and breaks.

I can highly recommend the black plastic insulated wire line.

Good luck with your project.

Regards,
Rolf
