Balanced open wire transmission lines connected
to delta matched dipoles was the way the CAA, now
FAA, went on their 75 MHz "Z" markers and ILS marker
beacons. USAF used a lot of them as BC-400's.
Matching stubs similiar to "J" Poles were used for
quarter phasing the antennas. Very little that's
new under the sun.

P.S. It's OK for someone to get the idea of using
ladder line to feed "J" Poles when there's a lot of
info going around about making the things out of
ladder line.
