[Antennas] Mobile Mounting - Pickup Truck

Hey everyone.
I want to install a tall mobile (Hustler) vertical with a fairly good 
size capacitance hat on my pickup truck. Because of the top hat, I want 
to position this more towards the center line of the truck to try and 
keep the hat within the body lines as I commute on some pretty active 
highways here in So. Cal.
I have no problems drilling holes, but I don't want to spend a lot of 
time with a custom fabricator making a custom bracket.. off the shelf 
hardware is best.
Normally, I've installed antennas in the stake bed pockets but these 
pockets are all along the outside edges of the bed not in the center.
Any ideas/suggestions?
