[Antennas] inverted L

The true Inverted L is a 1/4wave in overall length....not a random
length of wire....the true inv L will be close to a 50ohm match....the
vertical section is usually less than 1/8 wave in height....thus the L
size...I used one on 80 CW back in the Novice days with great
results...easier to put up than a 60ft vertical or a 1/2w dipole...
A random length long wire will work BUT the radiation pattern is skewed
and may not be the best wanted unless you get close to a resonant length
on one or more bands....
