Extremely interesting test and results. Obviously, the far field signal
level cannot keep going up 3 dB each time the # of radials is doubled.
Somewhere, it has to level out. My guess is that it probably hits its
ceiling at about the 16 radials point. However, in the broadcast industry it
is not unusual to space your radials every 3 degrees. Things get pretty
tedious, if you're the one doing the digging - Hi!
I would also guess that there is some error in those test results. The last
doubling should not have produced a full 3 dB improvement.
