[Antennas] RE: B&W Ant. Quest.

I have been using the aforementioned dipole here for over 3 years. It is indeed a compromise but I have enjoyed it. It is extremely broad banded and I have worked tons of DX with it with good to excellent signal reports. I also use it on the low bands regionally to check into nets and ragchew. When I tell some what antenna I am using they don't believe me due to all the negative stuff they have heard from antenna "experts". I am usually a solid S9 and better on 80 and 40 all over the Southeast from here in TN. and can talk to the West coast and Canada as well as work DX occasionally to Europe with it on the low bands. It is a great antenna for SWL'ing. I wouldn't trade mine at all. It takes up little space and is very durable so far. I know there are better antennas but the broadbandedness and overall performance is fine for me.
