[Antennas] Sailboats - What are my options.

I uses an antenna that was put up and taken down daily because I didn't
want to interfere with the boom when tacking. It sounds work intensive,
but it wasn't. The antenna, a long wire fed by an automatic antenna
tuner was left connected to the thru deck insulator and rolled up when
not in use. When I needed it I connected the end of it to my spare main
halyard and hoisted it to the top of the mast and was ready to go. 22'
is all you need for an ICOM antenna tuner to cover all bands. I also
tried an inverted "L" using both the Main and the Mizzen masts and
didn't find the signal any stronger.
