[Antennas] New Gain Definition dB-MEG was Unity Gain Question

Well, the plot thickens. Guess it is time to name names.
The antenna advertisement I saw mentioning "Unity Gain" was given by
Antenex for their Phantom Antenna (142-164 MHz. model).

In the specs they reference the antenna gain in dB-MEG. Well, that's a new
one on me so a little more digging turned up this:

In this tome they compare dB-MEG to a 3 dB "curly-q" antenna. [What ever
that is!]
The only curly-q thing I know is a pig's tail. So I guess one could say
that their antenna has the same gain of a pig's tail [I really wanted to
say a pig's ass, but restrained myself].
