I used it on my 40 meter dipole for most of a year, I made sure
the little strands of wire (4 as I recall) under the foil were
caught between the PL-259 and the screwed in RG-59 adapter
(drilled out to fit the RG-6) UNTIL my XYL mowed it into about
14 pieces, none were long enough to be of any use.
When I screwed the connectors together I flooded it with clear
silicone grease. (as I always do)
