Actually, there were two kits offered for the 160 meter add. One, as Billy notes, is nothing more than a base loading coil that is rated at 200 or so watts. The second and more effective kit consists of a trap and wire so that you will have an inverted L off the top of the tower section [about 25 feet off the ground]. I have two Hy-Towers one with the coil and one with the trap and wire arrangement.
All in all, the Hy-Tower offers a rock solid vertical that is fairly broad in its coverage due to the surface area radiating on each band. As Billy notes, you still need a radial system to make it work well and this can mean a lot of wire.
