[Antennas] AM on 930KC

I am not sure you will need a directional or a gain antenna to receive a
station 200 miles away. You did not say what sort of home receiver you have?
If its part of a Home Theatre System or a similar "tuner" you might need a
few more feet of wire thrown outside the window.
Anyway, as a matter of interest, an effective/selective/directional antenna
on MW is a loop antenna. These were used by MW DXers in the old days. I
remember using one from Sri Lanka, to hear US/Caribbean AM stations! My most
memorable catch was Radio Paradise, St Kitts on 1265Kc ! That was all the
way around the world! Can't remember dimensions but it was set up indoors on
on a wooden frame and tuned with a 365 pf capacitor salvaged from an old BC
receiver. These antennas are similar to the magnetic loops we now use for
the low ham bands. Again, I doubt you will need any of theses though.

Ron
