Ron, move your coax coil to just outside the shack where the coax enters.
Sounds like you are so close to the antenna that its near field is going to
put "rf in the shack" regardless of what you do with the feedline.

Lots RF in the shack, running a sloper dipole not very far outside the
shack! No torroids here in Jamaica! So, does anybody have info on making a
1:1 balun on a air core?

PS: Tried a coiled coax choke, but the weight pulls down the sloper and too
heavy for the flimsy aluminum pipe mast on the roof !
