[Antennas] Antenna Balls

Actually this is no joke. Anything at the top of the vertical will serve as
top loading if it provides additional capacity to ground. A large copper
toilet bowl doesn't do all that much on a full size vertical, but on a
shortened vertical, it probably is worth considering as a means for raising
the driving point impedance.

vertical antenna to act as a capacity top. There was actually an article in
QST many years ago suggesting the addition of a copper toilet plunger to the
top of a wire vertical because it would draw more RF to the top. Maybe it
was just a little bathroom humor, but it did look more effective.
