RF at HF is not picky about wire size or type. Try what you can get
your hands on. Stranded vs solid is strictly a personal preference or
what one has on hand. I've used all kinds and my preference is for
stranded black vinyl insulated hook-up wire around size 16, BUT solid
magnet type wire will perform just as well electrically.
For long spans (over 100') under tension, might dictate copperclad steel
electric fence wire, strictly for mechanical reasons.
