Well said Michael. The owner of force 12 proudly states he brought hams out
of the middle ages when he introduced his antenna product by dumping traps.
And one pays dearly in price for that thinking. Granted you do lose power
by
using traps but that amounts to only about 1 dB. And if you consider there
are 4 dB per S unit, well that is NOT that much loss! One Quarter of an S
unit. This can be verified by contacting the ARRL.
