Don't be sorry Sean. It gave us all an opportunity to see how witty we
could be. But there were also a couple good suggestions.
At my QTH I use primarily dipoles for 40M, 80M and 160M. I have a =
dipole
for each band, each individually fed, each oriented slightly differently =
and
all at 80 feet or higher. But I also live on top of a mountain ridge =
(if
you can call what we have in the East mountains).
I also use two long wire antennas, one for receive and the other for =
both
xmit/rcv. Both are over 540 feet long and both are oriented to the
Northwest. The receive only is used on 80 and 160 while the combo long =
wire
is for 160 meters only. All are fed by coax and I use a tuner on all =
but
the 160 meter dipole which is cut right to the frequency I use for 160.
The 540+ long wire also works well and gives me better coverage to the
Northwest and being in Georgia, that is ideal for me.
