[Antennas] Random Antenna Question

Since I havent seen an intelligent answer, let me give it a try for a
definition.
What is random wire antenna? Random and wire are both adjectives
describing the noun antenna. A one word definition for random is
"haphazard". Thus such an antenna is one put up without any thought as
to length or height. Would also add that it would be usually end fed,
that is excited by rf from one end of the said wire.
