Not true...=0D

I have had many "fan-dipoles" as they are often=0D
called.=0D
=0D
The longest legs were usually parallel to the ground=0D
as in a "true" dipole, the other legs fanned out in=0D
inverted-vee style.=0D
=0D
Once all the elements are on, then trim then to tune.=0D

I am building a multi-band dipole. It will be cut for 40m, 20m, and 10m.=0D
I've been told to be careful and I've read that you should NOT run the=0D
legs of the dipole parallel with each other. I've read they need to be=0D
perpendicular. However, I've seen many dipoles built this way=0D
(parallel).=0D

What are the groups thoughts?=0D
