I have seen a plan or diagram using a wide sheet of aluminum foil for an
attic antenna. It was used for the centre portion then wire off the ends
down and around. How it worked I donot know.
Another thought, some hams have hidden wire under the ends of the shingles
or tiles. One I have thought about but wanted a little more info on
is, some places where there is a lot of moss on the roof sting a copper
wire across the apex of the roof. How that would interfer with an
insulated wire just above it, supposedly for the same reason would work as
an antenna, I donot know. The main thing is put something up try it then
try something else. Ther are some ham licenses that donot allow you to
experiment.
