[Antennas] House Loop

Well.. just a week ago I went through something similar .. the NOISE was
very, very, very close to my house.... pulling "the big switch" cut it way
down, but still there... did the search again, still at my house! I
decided, incorrectly as it turned out, that the service company's ground was
bad ... I had major voltage swings on the 110VAC --- and our main electrical
outlets began going dead... off, on, off ---I'll try making the story short
... THE DROP WIRES THAT ENTERED THE SERVICE BOX HAD BEEN INSTALLED 10 YRS.
AGO WITHOUT THE ELECTRICIAN USING NOX! They had deteriorated at the
connection to such a point that they had burnt the bakelite that holds the
meter .. which why I could not see it until the PG&E guy came and pulled the
meter... I replaced the bakelite, etc...... and VOILA! Noise gone! And...
computer probs I was having with increasing frequency dissappeared. Note ..
the service box is just outside my hamshack/den of iniquity. 73, Y'all
... enjoy the Daytona 500, and what's left of the ARRL WWDX CW! 73, Mark
.. AA6DX (PS .. got a free day's worth of electrical juice outta the
deal!)
