I have a photo tripod with a Hustler RV mount attached to pan. I mount my Hustler
masts and resonators just like I use mobile. I have 24 radials, 3 sets of 8
made from CAT 5 network cable, lengths from about 8' to 15'. I stretch them
from top of tripod, usually extended to about 2' high, and arrange them in a
circle as best as possible. All would fit easily in a cloth type golf bag, longest
part is mast, about 3'. I have about 25' of RG-Mini8 attached to RV mount, radials
also permanently attached. I have not had much success with signals inside motel
rooms, too much metal and concrete most places. Some hotels have a small balcony,
best place for an antenna that I have found, private, doesn't need to be protected
from passersby, and usually don't have to ask permission. Hope this is of interest.
