Please remember that my statements were for modified window ladder
line that is wet ....dew, rain, etc. There is not any appreciable (very
slight) improvement in dry conditions.

There is a very simple test for the efficiency of your feedline, it is
outlined in the Autek RF1 manual. You simply measure the minimum
impedence
of a length of line, apply the formula, at that is the loss at that
frequency. It would be very interesting to compare loss figures between
your
modified ladder line versus the original using this method.
I have been very unimpressed with the commercial 450 ohm stuff that I've
tried, it has not been significantly less lossy than than the 300 ohm
ladder
line. Because of the smaller size, I've stuck with the 300 ohn stuff, or
used home-made ladder line.
