Dennis,
I have both a 2 meter homebrew J-pole and 2 meter ground plane antenna in my
attic. I have used one or the other at various times with my scanners as
well as transmitting. Both work well, the J-pole is a little better but not
that much. Hope this is of interest.

>>> Does any one have any information on the feasibility of using a 2 meter
J-Pole antenna as a multi-band SCANNER Antenna?
>> I want to replace a defective scanner antenna that I currently have but
was wondering if I could use a 2-meter J-POLE antenna I happen to have as a
spare and use it for the scanner?
>> Or if you have a better suggestion short of spending any money I would be
interested in that as well.
>> Thanks
