Hi Ray
These Motorola antennas are from their 1/4 wave range which includes VHF and
UHF. Your antenna is too short to convert to 2m, but it can be cut shorter
to resonate on UHF. Be sure to measure the antenna length from the top of
the silver base ring to the tip of the antenna. There is also an impedance
matching washer and dielectric washer, which have to be removed for correct
operation on UHF.
The 2m versions are my standard VHF antennas mounted on the roofs of our two
vehicles.

Subject: [Antennas] Info on an antenna
| Howdy, everyone. I got (given to me) an old Motorola antenna.
| The model number is TAD6073A, s/n 274CMN1033, and it also
| says 150-162 (MHz).
|| What's the gain of this old guy? :-) Also, can it be converted
| to any other frequency?
|| Thanks!
