[Antennas] Two meter beam for RDF ?

Back to it .. this is part of the fun of Amateur Radio .. 'spearmintin' ---
buy whatever 2ドル piping that puts a grin on your face .. it will work!
Common sense prevails here .. and, a slight droop of an inch or so is of NO
CONSEQUENCE in this situation... ..
Now, the 3/4" might be superior, in that it allows you more storage space
for the parts while "dismembered" .. use black tape, marking pen, filed
notches, whatever to help you rapidly set up the RDF antenna .. Welding
rod fine, but.. so would be steel coathanger pieces, costing virtually
NOTHING .. Something metal, and fairly stiff .. and, yes, you get the
concept of the end mounting .. As to end length .. whatever you want .. I
would suggest a foot or so, just for comfort. Shorter or longer will have
NO discernible difference in your results! I have a nice 3 el aluminum beam
that I can use for the same thing, and I mount it horizontal for when I work
SSB.
Cheers .. AA6DX
