Wow - you're not kidding, starting at $ 0.45 per foot, the price of the guys
would exceed the price of the tower!
Here is the explanation, off the Texas Towers web site:
"Phillystran is an electrically transparent nonmetallic guy cable which
offers complete guy line isolation, eliminating the need for insulators.
It's constructed of Kevlar� fiber, covered with an extruded copolymer jacket
which provides full UV protection.
"All sizes except HPTG1200I are terminated using a special guy grip on each
end. HPTG1200I is terminated using an end kit, consisting of four cable
clamps, a thimble, and an end cap. "
I have an tower, laying in the yard right now, because I haven't figured out
