I don't know about you, Bill (or others) but I use a "chock" to keep my
mobile H.F. rig from rolling backwards down the hill.
On the other hand, I use a large handful of ferrite beads on the RG-8X coax
cable that feeds my GLS Systems mobile antenna to help keep r.f. out of the
rig in the passenger part of the pick'umup truck. Those beads do a
wonderful job of being a "choke" for that purpose.

But you'll need an RF chock (coiled coax) at the feed point to "end the
feedline and start the antenna."
Like the old end-fed coax dipole.
