Any chance you would email the pdf file to me directly ([email protected]) as
I am also interested in its content. Or, is there a URL I can go to and
download the file?

Kevin,
There is a antenna that fits your request. I have not built one yet but
I'll share the adobe pdf file that I have as an attachment. I'm prudent
about virus checking and I would trust a file from me but you know how
that goes. I have had several e-mails with the designer of this antenna,
and I'm looking for two variable 10-50 pf capacitors for the 40 Meter
band to build my first one. Building the 40M antenna with variable
capacitors is strongly recommended before going on to making your own
capacitors. After I build the 40M one I can go on to the band I wanted
80M, there have been people make one for 160M and claim good results.
As for how good a antenna is that is always a debated subject I'm sure
there is someone who has DXCC or WAS with a 100 Watt light bulb. The
point is can I do it too and will it take 1 or 50 years? I don't mind
experimenting but I don't want to waste time re-inventing the wheel. I
have done extensive research on the EH antenna and it has promise for
limited space antenna system.

Subject: [Antennas] Low Noise Receive Antenna Needed
Hi All,
I am putting the finishing touches on my station for 160 meter operation
this winter. I find I am in need of a low noise receive antenna. I
don't
have room for the larger type of receive antennas such as flags,
pennants,
EWE's or even the full sized coaxial loop that would be about 7 or eight
feet across.
Does anyone on the list have a good design you might share for a
smaller,
perhaps multiturn loop which would still do a great job rejecting local
noise? Also, I will be using a PT3 which the seller told me has been
modified for use as just a receive preamp. Can someone on the list tell
me
if operation in this mode varies much from that described in the manual?
Thanks much for your help. I appreciate the assistance. 73
