[Antennas] noise bridge question

Hi Gary,
Palomar makes a noise generator that goes between the rig and tuner (Called
a "Tuner-Tuner"). It works well on HF, but I'm not sure if it's useful for
VHF. It's great for HF in that you set the freq in the radio and the radio
to RECEIVE, turn on the noise maker (called a 'tuner-tuner') and then adjust
the tuner for min noise on the rig - all without transmitting.
I had also thought it might be good to use to test antenna resonance:
Radio to receive
"Tuner-Tuner" box ON
Antenna tuner in bypass
and then tune the radio for max (or min?) noise. This might be the, or one
of the, points where the antenna is resonant and could be done audibly.
The newer antenna analyzers, like MFJ's, work well but do require you to
read the LCD display on the analyzer
