[Antennas] Antenna - HOA Problems

Hi Rudy
We have two successful multiband HF 'flagpole' vertical antennas in our city
where the operators foiled the HOA Nazis. One operator mounted his flagpole
at gutter level with an automatic base tuner and radials for each band
running below the gutter. The second operator went to more effort and
mounted his flagpole in his front garden and buried an extensive radial
ground system. Both antennas have lanyards and proper flags.
The Nazis tried to outlaw the flagpole at gutter level, but there is no law
against flagpoles in that area and had to throw in the towel. The garden
flagpole received some mutterings and no further action. Others have even
commended the patriotic owner of the garden flagpole.
Butternut makes a small 2-element, hybrid quad with a quad driven element
and a regular director. I have no experience with this antenna and believe
it works quite well. You will find all the details on the website of
