ok boys and girls.. i promised you the results, and here they are... (for
those of you who like calculations incantations and permutations.. do like
frank zappa said "and ram them up your snout") i am a screwdriver and
hammer kinda-o-ham.. dont need no steenken meeterrs.... the gap started out
with the counterpoise about 12 feet off of the ground.. raised it to 20 ft
and the swr went up on all bands slightly.. about +0.5.... lowered it to
10 feet off the ground and the swr dropped significantly.. it is flat as a
myocardial infarc on the entire 20 meter band !!! the results are similar
on all of the other bands .. as they originally told me at gap, raising the
titan dx will not help... guess what??? they were right.. ten feet off of
the ground and it works like a champ... *** reporting live from the w8jn
station and fixing things with a hammer (technical tap) is w8jn 73
