[Antennas] ADMIN: Off-list Conduct

It has come to my attention, as moderator, from several people that they 
have been subjected to offensive and obnoxious attacks from other list 
members via personal, off-list email.
While this is somewhat of a gray area, it is my opinion that if these 
off-list messages are related to issues from the list (reflector) then they 
are subject to our guidelines that prohibit personal attacks of any 
kind. Yes, you are perfectly free to say what you want in private, 
personal email, but if it relates to activities on this list, then your 
privileges as a member of this forum my be abridged. There is a difference 
between a right and a privilege.
It is my responsibility as moderator to foster and maintain an atmosphere 
of gentlemanly discussion, where individuals are not intimidated, harassed, 
or insulted by other members, on or off the list itself.
If you are subjected to these offensive, off-list messages, please DO NOT 
post them back to the list or counter attack on the list! This only 
promulgates flame wars, and you would be subject to the same fate as the 
other offender(s).
Here is what to do if you feel you are being attacked or harassed:
Please contact me directly. Send me copies of the offending message(s) and 
I will make a determination as to their seriousness, and determine what, if 
any action needs to be taken. This may range from warnings, temporary 
moderation of an individual's post, to removal and banning from the list.
While I am always reluctant to make restrictions of any kind on the list, 
as some of you know, I will not tolerate obnoxious behavior and will not 
hesitate to take action when necessary.
May this serve both as a warning and as a guideline for all involved.

DO NOT respond to this message on the list; I do not want to start a debate 
here.
Please bear in mind that I am on a summer schedule that has me out of town 
quite a bit, so be patient if you don't receive an immediate reply.
