I had the misfortune of having to maintain a pneumatic tube system that was
made of Aluminium Tubing and Compression Flanges that someone had used SS
screws to replace the original Aluminium ones. the result was every one of
the compression flanges was cracked due to the difference in expansion
rates of the two metals out doors when it got cold. something to keep in
mind when using Stainless hardware on Aluminium connections. I find some of
the No-Ox compounds made for Aluminium/Copper connections to be a better
choice. We get ours through Tessco
http://www.tessco.com/
Other than being a customer I have no connection to them.
