Yes, I agree. One cannot shorten the wavelength at 7MHz to that of the wavelength at 144MHz. It is not physically possible, at least on my calculator. Nor can one create something out of nothing unless you are the Cushcraft, HyGain, etc. antenna companies. Only then can you have a shortened 2 element 10dB 40M Yagi on a 5' boom.
