Hi All,
I moved house last week, and in common with most British city plots, I
have limited space for antennas. I have solutions for most of my
favourite bands, bar 3.5MHz for the club net (read 200 mile
radius coverage). I have played with mag loops etc in the
past, but i'd like to have a go with linear loading. One of the UK
suppliers is selling a lin loaded dipole (50ft long) for 3.5Mhz for
about 140USD. Seems a lot of cash for a wire antenna !
So, I am going to play (learn) and try and build one. I have read the
books, looked on the web etc and am going to use 16 guage wire,
zig-zagged, spaced 1 inch apart.
Any hints anyone ? Or shall I just trim to resonance and report back to
the group ?
Regards
Steve
