However, the loss of this particular antenna design is a minimum of 3 dB.
50W in, 25 W ERP, losses in the glass are of little concern with such a
poorly designed antenna, though the antenna does fill a need.

 The glass loss should be something around 0.5 +/- dB. This loss is
dielectric loss in the glass.
