Hi John;
I just received a Tennadyne T-8 (18' boom) LPDA for the very reason you
gave. NO traps-Five Bands, efficient, etc. etc.. Check www.tennadyne.com
and read the percentages and efficiency of various beams they show. The
T- series are built to 100 MPH ratings, and the prices Include UPS/48
states. T-8 was 595ドル.
After Hurricane Hugo struck Charlotte, NC in 1989, and my mono banders
were damaged, I drove 2 miles away to see what damage a T-10 on 24' boom
had. Absolutely zero, none, nada, etc. etc. I told myself then, when the
time came I would examine their Logs closely. I did and it arrived last
Friday. New tower goes up next week with the T-8 and 3 el. 6 meter beam
to top it off. (Wish I could spring for the T-12 on 30' boom, but 950ドル.
becomes a big issue then for type of operating habits I have.)
Good luck-73,
Jim, K4SQR
Charlotte, NC (200 miles inland from the coast. "Hugo" was just a freak
example of Mother Nature that I don't want to see again.)
