--I i think maybe you could also
shorten this by using the 'helical antenna'
idea, and using around 1 wavelength of
actual wire on the form, to achieve 1/2
wave effective resonance. I've not done
this yet, but i've been eager to try it for
some time, to get away from radials.
Or actually better maybe, a helically
wound vertical antenna for an effective 1/2
wavelength, with coax feed in the middle,
and the coax running down inside the
tubing.
