Hi,
Yes, it seems that the upgrade doesn't add user id 17, group id 17.
My line (can't cut and paste) in /etc/passwd looks like
smmsp:*:17:17:Sendmail Message Submission Program:/nonexistent:/sbin/nologin
and in /etc/group
smmsp:*:17:
