In case it's useful, here's the change I made to my gcc13-libs package to fix it on illumos systems:

 https://github.com/TritonDataCenter/pkgsrc-extra/commit/4aed236f59edd2ed3f126151d0a5cd1599ee0b10

The tricky bit will be accounting for all of the different ways to modify the RUNPATH across supported systems.
