Hi! I'd like you to reconsider making gamin a default. To quote from http://www.gnome.org/~veillard/gamin/overview.html "At this point Gamin is fairly tied to Linux, portability is not a primary goal at this stage but if you have portability patches they are welcome." This is rather contradictory to the goals of pkgsrc. At the moment compilation on Solaris breaks, because a linker flag not supported by Sun's ld (--version-script) is used. Even if Daniel Veillard is wiling to accept patches, changing the default in pkgsrc should happen *after* gamin has been made a portable piece of software.
