Hi!
defaults/mk.conf says
PACKAGES?= ${PKGSRCDIR}/packages
# Store generated packages on a per-architecture base
I see nothing that implements the "per-architecture" part of the
comment. Is there some sort of automatism, or is this left as an
exercise to the user?
