tech-pkg: zoularis && X11BASE

Is there a way to have X11 stuff installed into somewhere other than
${X11BASE}?
currently my ${X11BASE} points to /usr/openwin, but I would like
binaries and other X stuff installed elsewhere.
I suppose this also applies to pkgsrc on NetBSD. Having packages
install stuff in ${X11BASE} is non-optimal in some situations.
